Our Story
novacrysentia.com was born from a simple belief: the best rides happen when your bike fits perfectly, your components are dialed, and you have friends to ride with. Founded in 2010 in the heart of Kamakura, our shop started as a small repair station in a converted machiya townhouse on Komachi Street.
Over fifteen years, we have grown into a full-service cycling destination while staying true to our roots. We still occupy that same beautiful building, now expanded to include a modern workshop, bike fitting studio, and community space where riders gather before and after every group ride.
Our location in Kamakura places us at the crossroads of some of Japan's finest cycling terrain. The Shonan coast offers flat, scenic rides along the Pacific. The hills behind the Great Buddha lead to challenging climbs. And the Miura Peninsula provides endless loops for every ability level.

Craftsmanship
Every bike that leaves our workshop meets the same standard we demand for our own rides. Precision torque, perfect cable routing, and obsessive attention to detail are not optional, they are the baseline.
Community
Cycling is better together. Our weekly group rides, skills clinics, and post-ride coffee gatherings have created a family of over 3,000 riders across Kamakura and the greater Shonan area.
Sustainability
We believe bicycles are part of the solution. We prioritize repairable products, offer trade-in programs, and partner with local organizations to promote cycling infrastructure in Kamakura.

Kenji Hayashi
Founder & Head CoachFormer professional cyclist with 20+ years of racing experience across Asia. Kenji founded novacrysentia.com to share his passion for cycling with the Kamakura community. Certified cycling coach and group ride leader.
Takumi Sato
Lead MechanicWith 15 years of workshop experience, Takumi is the backbone of our service department. Specializes in electronic groupsets, suspension tuning, and custom wheel building. Former Shimano service technician.
Mika Nakamura
Bike Fit SpecialistCertified bike fitter with a background in sports biomechanics. Mika has fitted over 1,500 riders and specializes in solving comfort issues for long-distance and competitive cyclists.
Cycling Community
Beyond selling and servicing bikes, we actively invest in Kamakura's cycling culture. Our community space hosts regular events, skills workshops, and social gatherings that bring riders of all backgrounds together.
